Description

{1} Fifty-two trenches were excavated. The evaluation has confirmed that the site has archaeological potential with the identification of deposits of Early, Middle and Later Iron Age date corresponding with anomalies previously revealed by geophysical survey in the southern portion of the site. The evaluation also revealed the presence of some foundations of the former munition work in the northern portion of th site but not surviving remains above ground.
