Description
{1} On 19th July 2013, Stratascan Ltd undertook a detailed magnetic gradiometry survey across approximately 1.1ha of grassland at Land at Hackleton, Northamptonshire. The survey was commissioned by University of Leicester Archaeological Services as part of an archaeological investigation in advance of proposed development. The survey identified probable medieval ridge-and-furrow cultivation earthworks represented by widely spaced curving linear anomalies in the western part of the site. A negative linear anomaly was also identified and may represent a former bank, earthwork or field boundary associated with the cultivation system, although its origin could not be determined with confidence.
