Description
{1} Magnetometer survey of c2.1ha. Aligned across the northern part of the site are a number of intermittent positive linear anomalies. They are likely to represent ditches and former plough marks, possibly medieval ridge and furrow cultivation or more recent agricultural activity. There was extensive magnetic noise recorded across the site, possibly as a result of modern detritus in the ploughsoil, or possibly as a result of the underlying limestone geology. This response may have masked some more subtle archaeological features, but there was nothing visible in the survey data that could confidently be identified as being of archaeological interest.
