Description
{1} Two trenches, each 5m long and 1.8m wide, were excavated which revealed post- medieval/modern quarry pits. Extraction of clay in the countryside for locally made brick and tile was not uncommon. Finds recovered from one of the backfills dated to the 18th-19th centuries.
