Abstract/Summary
MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) was commissioned by Mr Jonathan Smith to undertake an archaeological trial trench evaluation on land at Dairy Farm, Church Lane, East Haddon, Northamptonshire. Two trenches were excavated which revealed post- medieval/modern quarry pits. Extraction of clay in the countryside for locally made brick and tile was not uncommon. Finds recovered from one of the backfills dated to the 18th-19th centuries.
