Description

Eighteen trial trenches were excavated The evaluation established that the archaeology corresponded well with the previous geophysical results. The archaeology comprised a series of enclosures and roundhouses alongside a boundary ditch, the majority located in the northern half of the site with an area of burning in Trench 15 and multiple smaller ditches in Trench 12.
