C.L.A.S.P focussed principally on the survey of the golf course land at the northern end of the site, whilst MOLA, frequently aided by C.L.A.S.P volunteers, surveyed the remainder of the hillfort. The main survey technique was magnetometry, although C.L.A.S.P also conducted some earth resistance survey over the site of the known Roman building.
