Description

{1} The evaluation comprised the excavation of 13x 50m trenches, each of which measured 1.8m in width. Levels of preservation varied across the site but features of archaeological interest were concentrated towards the western and central areas of the site. These remains included undated features comprising five ditches and five postholes in addition to a small number of highly fragmentary medieval furrows. The undated features may form a continuation of the Romano-British field system recorded during an excavation conducted in 2013 to the west of the site at Booth Rise.
