Abstract/Summary
MOLA Northampton was commissioned by Northampton Partnership Homes to undertake a programme of archaeological evaluation at Fraser Road, Northampton, Northamptonshire. The work was preceded and informed by a geophysical survey carried out by MOLA Northampton in August 2020. Levels of preservation varied across the site but features of archaeological interest were concentrated towards the western and central areas of the site. These remains included undated features comprising five ditches and five postholes in addition to a small number of highly fragmentary medieval furrows. The undated features may form a continuation of the Romano-British field system recorded during an excavation conducted in 2013 to the west of the site at Booth Rise.
