Description
{1} Ten trenches were excavated in advance construction of two radomes, antennas and associated security system components at RAF Croughton. No archaeological features, finds or remains were encountered. A total of ten trenches (Trenches 1-10) were excavated in advance construction of two radomes, antennas and associated security system components at RAF Croughton. The proposed trench locations were altered slightly as all of the trenches were shortened due to the presence of underground services. Natural variation, in the form of a gravel layer, was identified in Trench 2 but no archaeological features or deposits were encountered.
