This represents a 5% sample of the overall site. The trenches were placed using a random grid array across the 2.90ha site. The trenches were, however, located with due regard to the location of services and taking into consideration ecological/arboricultural constraints. The data recovered indicated past activity on the site principally dating to the Iron Age and the 1st century BC or AD.
