Description
A programme of archaeological trial trench evaluation was undertaken by Oxford Archaeology East across Trenches 47-58, 60-61, 63-100 and 101-103 at Glenvale Park, Wellingborough, during September to October 2021 in advance of proposed development. The evaluation identified Middle Iron Age settlement activity represented by enclosure ditches, gullies and pits, together with limited Early to Middle Anglo-Saxon activity. Evidence indicated occupation focused on rectilinear enclosure systems within the southern and western parts of the site.
