Description

Archaeological trial trench evaluation was undertaken across Trenches 151, 152, 154-159 and 166-175. The work identified evidence for Middle Iron Age settlement activity in the southern part of the development area, together with a concentration of Romano-British enclosure and boundary ditches, pits and associated agricultural features in the northern part of the trench group. Pottery, animal bone, fired clay and a fragment of Roman vessel glass were recovered
