Description

Three trenches, each 15m long by 1.6m wide, were excavated, a total aggregate sample 45m in length. The results of the trial trenching are interpreted to indicate two broad phases of archaeological activity at the site. The first concerns occupation of the site within the Medieval period, and the second relates to late Medieval or early Post-Medieval abandonment and demolition of the Medieval structures.
