Description

Second season of excavation on the remains of a Roman villa situated on land near Nobottle. The excavation revealed a further series of walls, relating to at least two separate wings of a villa building. The construction style and orientation of the walls suggested that the villa had been expanded and remodelled on at least four occasions. The artefact data suggests occupation during the 2nd to 4th centuries.
