Description
A magnetometer survey was conducted over approximately 40 hectares of land at Manor Farm, Whitfield, and it has not identified any anomalies of definite archaeological interest. Multiple uncertain anomalies and trends coincide with the location of non-designated heritage assets, recorded in the Northamptonshire HER, and for this reason they cannot be dismissed as being of potential archaeological significance, however, their exact origin remains uncertain. Former ridge and furrow, land drains, trackways and two underground pipes have also been identified, along with numerous areas of natural magnetic variation.
