Abstract/Summary
A magnetometer survey was conducted over approximately 40 hectares of land at Manor Farm, Whitfield, and it has not identified any anomalies of definite archaeological interest. However, a few poorly defined anomalies and trends coincide with the location of non-designated heritage assets, recorded in the Northamptonshire HER and these have been classified as being of possible archaeological interest. Former ridge and furrow, land drains, trackways and two underground pipes have also been identified, along with numerous areas of natural magnetic variation and modern magnetic disturbance, including possible green waste.
