Description
An archaeological desk-based assessment with walkover survey was undertaken 2018 at Sulby Abbey Farm, Naseby Road, Welford, Northamptonshire, to inform proposals for ancillary buildings and a new vehicular access. The assessment found that the site lies adjacent to the Scheduled Monument of Sulby Abbey and contains faint medieval ridge and furrow, considered a later addition to the landscape. No significant archaeological remains were identified within the development area, and the impact on the abbey earthworks and the Grade II listed farmhouse was assessed as negligible.
