Description

A field-walking survey was undertaken over the site during 1989. This survey, which covered 54 20m x 20m squares was aimed at collecting datable surface finds from the site. Quantities of migration period pottery were recovered which related to the areas of the buildings shown on the aerial photographs and the geophysical survey. In addition there were 29 Roman sherds recovered from the area.
