Description

Survey and excavation along the pipeline corridor located ditch alignments of probable Iron Age date, as well as a number of postholes. Some of the ditches had been recorded previously from the air and are part of a cropmark complex extending to the west. The site lies on ground sloping north towards the River Nene, and re-cut enclosure ditches were located only 50m from the river itself.
