Full Description

{1} Ditch alignments of probable Iron Age date, as well as a number of postholes. Some of the ditches had been recorded previously by aerial photography, and are part of the cropmark complex extending westwards. The site lies on ground sloping northwards to the River Nene, and re-cut enclosure ditches were located only 50m from the river itself.

{3} Cropmarks occur near the pipeline corridor, and the [geophysical] survey located possible ditch alignments, which were later confirmed by trial pits. The ditches were not dated but an Iron Age date seems probable.
