Description

{3} In Easter 1976 in response to a planning application granted to Bruce Fletcher Ltd (now Comben Homes Ltd) in 1975, two trial trenches were cut by D.Hall to establish the date of settlement in this area of Raunds. {5} Survey and trial excavation by D N Hall and Northants Field Group 1975-6. [Data from NRHE record: Mr Hall suggests that copies of the site archives accompanied the finds from most of his investigations when they were passed into the custody of the respective county museums in 1988. The originals are still in his keeping. (Mr D Hall. E-mail 13. 9. 04.).]
