Description
{1} The first phase of excavation at Langham Road began in 1984. There were a number of subsequent extensions and additions, which were opened as land became available from the developers, and work continued through 1985 and into 1986. The excavated area had to respect the physical constraints imposed by the layout and the site logistics of the new development, so the site had a convoluted outline. The area examined extended 140m east to west by 130m north to south and took in a total area of c0.60ha, the equivalent of a single area about 78m square.
