Description
{1} In 1971 the retaining wall along the east side of St Andrew's Road, adjacent to the area excavated by Alexander, was lowered and the ground behind was battered. A watching brief was maintained during this work and the truncated ends of several walls were located. {4} The features exposed were more fully described in archive notes by Mynard, accompanied by an annotated plan (A50/M.18/1).
