Description
{1} Possible metalling and road build-up, underlain by alluvium on the corner where St Peter's Way is met by Bridge Street, by Carlsberg Brewery. Seen in side of service trench, 6m deep. Layers in section; rubble make-up 0-1.5m, metalling/road build-up (layers of orange ironstone gravel interleaved with clays)-1.5m-1.8, make-up -1.8m-2.0m, alluvium or make-up- 2.0-2.4m, alluvium or palaeochannel fill- 2.4-6m
