Description

Archaeological trial excavation of a small overgrown garden, immediately to the west of the former soapworks has confirmed the presence of buried deposits of post-medieval and medieval date, comprising the truncated remains of a later medieval building and associated floor levels deeply buried some 0.9m (av 116.17m AOD) below the modern ground level.
