Description

{1} Some archaeological investigation had already taken place on the site [ENN109385], but this was augmented by the excavation of three further trial trenches, two 15m long aligned east to west and one 20m long trench, aligned north-west to south-east, located between the south end of the previously stripped area and the boundary of the electricity sub-station to the south. The work was undertaken to establish the extent of the medieval structural evidence.
