Description

{1} The earth removing was not deep and the machining cause only very shallow rutting which meant that any archaeology present would not have been affected and would have survived in situ. The removal of hardcore in the south west corner cut into the subsoil but no pre-alluvium layers were exposed. HER note: the whole of the application site has been mapped rather than just the watching brief are due to lack of detailed plans in report {1} No archaeology noted. The earth-moving was not deep and the machining caused only shallow rutting which meant that any archaeology present would not have been affected and would have survived in-situ. No artefacts were recovered.
