Description

{1} A resistivity survey was carried out in an attempt to define the extent of the former priory church. AML Survey Database Reference No.: 743 Survey type: Resistivity: recorded grid. Possible evidence of previous antiquarian excavation was noted, and a wall re-exposed which had probably been built by Sir Henry Dryden as part of his restoration in the C19th. Although it was impossible to reconstruct the plan of the priory church, a linear anomaly running N-S towards the churchyard wall may represent the eastern boundary of the cloister garth.
