Description

{1} A trial trench was cut at right angles to the extensive terraces that follow the contour of the land adjacent to the manor house site. Two deeply cut V-shaped ditches were exposed, the upper ditch contained medieval pottery and a fragment of vine stem, while the lower contained Roman coarsewares
