Description

Trial trenching confirmed the archaeological origin of the features identified on aerial photographs and revealed a palisade trench running parallel with and 0.6 m inside the ditch of Enclosure 1, together with possible postholes within the sub-circular enclosure. Occupation can be dated to the middle Iron Age, 4th-2nd centuries BC.
