Full Description
{2} The enclosure ditch has been shown to be more extensive than previously revealed by cropmarks, enclosing an area c.100m long x at least 40m wide (the southern half of the enclosure is truncated by the M1 slip road). At its eastern side, the enclosure ditch turns outwards with no obvious return.
There is no recognisable activity outside this enclosure other than a linear ditch which was excavated in 1989, this extending at least 20m to the west.
