Description

{1} In October 1972 machine levelling took place preparatory to building development on the north end of the former Fox's Farm site in Church Street. A jumble of postholes and beam slots were observed, though not excavated and the limited area did not allow for a building plan to be appreciated, but it seems likely that they were part of a peasants house of pre-late 13th century date.
