Summary
Archaeological observation was undertaken in 1972 prior to development, although no excavation of features was possible. Cleaning revealed a number of post-holes and beam slots, as well as a group of medieval shelly wares dating to the 12th or 13th centuries

Full Description
{1} Minor Excavation of 1972 by P.Everson at the north end of Fox's Farm and south of the vicarage garden. No features were fully excavated. Postholes, a timber slot and fine shelly pottery of the C12-13th were noted. Interpreted as a possible medieval house at SP74607125.
