Description

{2} At the north end of Horseshoe Street more human remains were found abutting the south side of an E/W ironstone wall, 1.45m wide, possibly marking the north edge of the churchyard. {3} N/S water mains trench at north end of Horseshoe Street outside Bells. St Gregory's graveyard (?) abutting E/W wall on south side; surface on the other side of wall and a second possible wall further north. No finds. {4} Plan. Substantial foundations of a small building. It was situated c1m under the road surface and up to 0.75m of walling remained. To the south and west of the building numerous burials were located during the trenching.
