{2} Groundworks for an extension observed. An L-shaped trench was excavated, 1.2m in depth. Natural ironstone appeared at 0.8m below ground level (2m below the level of the car park to the north). Late Saxon/medieval pits were identified, cut into a possible buried garden soil above the natural
