Description
{1} In the Easter of 1965, ten trenches, each 6 ft x 6ft, were sunk at intervals all over a plot of land belonging to the Kettering Borough Council between Byron Road and North Park Drive. In a number of the central ones, Roman levels were struck at an average depth of 2ft 8in. A layer of heavily weathered and burned limestone rubble was exposed together with many sherds of pottery and bone. {2} Located in a small area of made-up ground destined to have garages built on it.
