Full Description
{1} Area of rubble revealed but no wall foundations identified; may represent courtyard metalling; pot sherds found dating to Iron Age & Romano-British periods; included Samian & Nene Valley ware; also 2 finger rings & a bronze fibula & 4 AD C4th Roman coins & animal bone;
{2}10 trenches in all dug by J.M.Steane; possible levelling of wet area against Beck Brook; published ngr is SP873801 but more exact locational information given in notes & plan made by B.Dix;
