Full Description
{1} (Independent) Wesleyan Chapel, High Street. Erected in 1889 at a cost of £4,000. The building is still in use by the Methodist Church. There is also a small projecting wing in modern bric . Film 1, photo 20.
Connected to it is a Mission Chapel in Wellingborough Road which was built in 1901 at a cost of £3,000. The associated Sunday School on Queen Street has since been demolished, but has been replaced with a modern structure.
N.B. See MNN100136: Rushden Mission Church, Brookfield Road/Wellingborough Road. Elaborate church in red brick with stone detailing. Similar to churches on Park Road. Still in use by the Mission Church,. Film 13, photo 21-22.
