Full Description
{1} Assembly Room, Park Road. Assembly Room on Park Road. Elaborate building in church style architecture, but with industrialised element to the rear end (which may represent later usage of the building). Commemorative stone on the building is dated 1884. Inscription 'Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is ..' not possible to read after this point. The building is closer to Park Street, but actually fronts on to Little Street. It is currently in use by 'Andrew Decorations Ltd.', but subject to a planning application to turn the building into flats. Film 5, photo 15, Film 11 photo 20-23.
