Full Description

{1} Vase Press, Oundle Road. Business began in 1917 by Edward Symes Bond who was attached to the printing department of Taylor and Downs newsagents, stationers and printers. In 1922 a field was purchased in Oundle Road for the construction of Vase Press, in 1926 the premises were enlarged. The Press specialised in printing House Journals - including its own 'The Vase'. Production ended in 1951. The buildings for Vase Press have now been demolished and the site is occupied by a plastics factory.
