Full Description

{1} The 'Electric Palace' cinema was located to the rear of Duke Street and High Street. The building and an elaborate stone-carved free-standing sign for 'The Palace' are still extant. The building also had rooms for concerts and meetings. The building is currently being converted into houses or shops and local knowledge indicates that until a year ago it was still in operation as a cinema.
