Full Description

{1} Clothing factory (shown on Ordnance Survey map of 1926) located at the extremity of the town. Red brick strucutre with series of 6 north lights. The building is now standing out of use. Film ? Photo 19,20,21 (1)

This large single-storey factory was probably purpose-built for the manufacture of clothing. It occupies a greenfield site just south-east of Finedon Water Tower and consists of six north-lit ranges. The dressings are of concrete and the gables have oculi with bull-nosed brick surrounds. To the rear (north-east) there is a single-storey lantern-roofed range.
