These extensive single-storeyed north-lit ranges, extending much of the length of Milner Road on its north-east side, originated as part of the Gammidge shoe factory on Summerlee Road (Site 6), but is now in separate occupancy. The earliest part is represented by the two-and-a-half bays at the Wellingborough Road end. These are distinguished by the use of blue brick for window sills and Welsh slate for the roof, and by louvred ventilators in the gables to Milner Road. Most of the openings have been altered, but one window retains a cast-iron frame beneath a segmental head (the remainder have concrete lintels) and in the half-bay there is a ground-floor taking-in doorway. Originally the building extended further to the south-east, where the later ranges overlie an earlier basement.
The site was extended southeastwards in three successive basemented phases, probably in the 1950s; each phase added two north-lit gables to the Milner Road front. The second pair incorporate a large brick boiler-house stack. A large single-gabled shed was added at a later date.
