{1} Cattle Market, Wheatsheaf Hotel. Cattle Market was established in 1914 and was held weekly in the yard behind the Wheatsheaf Hotel; it closed in 1965. All buildings associated with the cattle market have now been demolished and replaced by a supermarket and car park.
