Full Description

Maltings, Buckby Wharf
Owned by Messrs Walker and Soames. 'The maltings have gone, but we can still see the old brick walls which marked boundaries and the brick supports along the canal itself no doubt part of the loading staithes. As late as the building of the M1 in the 1950's material from the road excavations was used to fill the old cellars and basements'. (1)
