Summary
Oundle Cemetery spans 3 acres and opened in 1860. The cemetery was designed by Edward Browning. There is an entrance lodge and two chapels that share a lobby entrance. The tomb of Thomas Norby (d. 1862) is a good example of a table tomb. In the early 21st Century (2005) the entrance lodge was rented as a residence and the chapel has been deconsecrated and is used for storage.

Full Description
{1} 3 acre cemetery with a mortuary chapel. Opened in 1859. The cemetery was not visited as part of the field visit, but would appear from map evidence to still be there and intact complete with two chapels and cemetery lodge.
{2} Oundle Cemetery spans 3 acres and opened in 1860. The cemetery was designed by Edward Browning. There is an entrance lodge and two chapels that share a lobby entrance. The tomb of Thomas Norby (d.1862) is a table tomb.
{3} In the early 21st Century (2005) the entrance lodge was rented as a residence and the chapel had been deconsecrated and is used for storage.
{4} The cemetery was considered for inclusion in the Register of Parks and Gardens, but was not added to the Register.
