Full Description

{1} National School, North End
Erected in 1841-2. This would appear to be the stone construction building which has a very plain, functional appearance on Milton Road. Has some modern extensions. Is still use as Oundle Church of England Primary School. Film 6, photo 1. (1)

Church of England and Infants School, New Street
Built in 1842 and enlarged in 1894. (1)
It is probable that the New Street school is actually that of the North End school above.

{2} Built in the 1840s and originally comprising two schoolrooms on either side of the central master's house. A rear range was built prior to 1855 and further extensions by 1900.
