Full Description

{1} Earthworks of uncertain significance.

{2} A curvilinear ditch and bank runs over the edge of the bluff. On the northern end it appears to be a single ditch with banks on either side. It is not clear whether or not the bank and ditch continues to the bottom of the slope. A number of large standard trees and shrubs attest to the former presence of a hedge on this boundary This is probably the remnant of the park pale.
At least one small rectilinear enclosure is visible on the flat ground adjacent to the outer edge of south-eastern arm of the outer bailey moat / Willow Brook. This enclosure may well be a building platform. No buildings are indicated on historic maps of this area.
