Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking; Romano-British 3rd & 4th-century pot sherds including colour coated and grey wares; stone scatters of large limestone blocks; published NGR SP 99758637; area defined by D Hall {3}.

{3} No original notes except field map and fair copy.

{4} A group of small conjoined rectangular enclosures, arranged in a line orientated NE-SW is indistinctly visible on air photographs.

{5} SP 99758637 3c/4c. RB sherds. Stone scatter large limestone blocks found by D Jackson April 1964.

{6} Pottery seen at this site comprises colour-coated, grey and wares. Scatter of large stone also evident but much has been removed to the adjacent hedgerow.

{7} Listed in gazetteer of Roman villas.
